Overview As a BMS Estimator, you develop accurate cost estimates and proposals for BMS/BAS, HVAC controls, and facility automation projects. You combine controls know-how with construction insight to craft competitive bids for data centers, healthcare, and commercial facilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to clarify scope, assess risks, and deliver profitable proposals that support the company's building optimization mission. This role offers exposure to complex systems and the chance to influence project outcomes from bid to handoff.

Responsibilities- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and bid packages to define project scope for BMS/BAS.
- Issue RFIs to clarify SOW during bidding.
- Develop counts, takeoffs, labor estimates, software needs, and pricing summaries.
- Prepare customer-facing proposals, scope documents, exclusions, assumptions, and bid summaries.
- Identify constructability, design conflicts, and commercial risks before award.
- Evaluate revised drawings for impacts on labor, materials, schedule, and commissioning.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations.
- Support handoff, change orders, and scope evaluations during execution.
- Assess integration requirements for BAS, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, DCIM, and third-party systems.
- Participate in customer meetings, site walks, and bid reviews.
Key requirements- 5+ years in BMS/BAS, Controls-related roles, or related environments
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical/construction drawings and specs
- Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, DDC, commissioning practices, and building systems
