Overview

As Site Quality Manager, you lead QA/QC on our solar and electrical infrastructure projects, partnering with regional leadership to drive the Site-Specific Quality Plan and ensure compliance with standards. You oversee inspection teams, coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulators, and champion continuous improvement. The role combines quality planning, audits, and corrective actions to protect project outcomes and company reputation. You will work on-site with frequent travel in the Midwest region, shaping quality culture across projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) with the Regional Quality Manager
  • Create and maintain the project Inspection Test Plan (ITP) for all definable features of work
  • Enforce and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Conduct inspections and audits per ITP, SSQP, and contract requirements
  • Document nonconformances and ensure corrective actions via RCA and CAPA
  • Maintain QA/QC documentation and generate quality metrics reports
  • Become proficient with Sunscreen for QA documentation and reporting
  • Review subcontractor QA plans and audit their work for compliance
  • Facilitate lessons learned and feed back to engineering/procurement for improvements
  • Perform post-construction reviews and update training materials
  • Ensure site activities comply with codes, regulations, and manufacturer instructions
  • Travel frequently and manage on-site operations at remote project locations
Key requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years in utility-scale solar quality management
  • Quality management certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, Six Sigma) and OSHA 10/30 are highly desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of utility-scale PV, civil construction, electrical/mechanical codes, and QA/QC methodologies
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
