Overview In this Manager role within our life insurance consulting practice, you will lead workstreams across engagements such as financial modeling, reporting, M&A, regulatory issues, litigation, pricing, and product development. You will work with cross functional teams to deliver high quality client work and support business development while mentoring junior staff. You will help maintain our standards of excellence and contribute to intellectual capital through research and industry outreach. Responsibilities- Manage engagement workstreams to meet objectives and budgets
- Strengthen client relationships and stay abreast of regulatory updates
- Share expertise to drive team growth and business development
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff
- Conduct technical reviews ensuring quality and compliance with standards
- Prepare client communications and assist in meetings and written deliverables
- Contribute to intellectual capital via research, articles, events, and webinars
- Support revenue growth by meeting billable targets and assisting in sales
- Collaborate with senior sellers on proposals
- Pursue ongoing professional credentials via company programs or CE requirements
Key requirements- Minimum 4 years in an actuarial role in life insurance, consulting, or financial services
- Familiarity with regulatory capital regimes
- Excellent written and oral communication; ability to simplify complex concepts
- Ability to translate complex concepts for technical and non technical audiences
- Proven collaboration across disciplines and willingness to share knowledge
- Strong programming or modeling skills (Excel with VBA, SQL, Python, R) and/or actuarial software (GGY AXIS, Risk Agility, MG-ALFA, Moses, Prophet, Slope, or Polysystems)
- Experience in at least one life insurance/annuity product line
- Experience in at least one functional area: predictive analytics/data science, experience studies, financial reporting/modeling, M&A, product development/pricing, and risk management
