Overview In this executive role, you will design and lead LPL's enterprise privacy program, aligning privacy by design with regulatory expectations. You will partner across Compliance, Risk, IT, Legal, and business lines to embed responsible data practices and governance. You will shape the privacy framework, risk management, and AI governance to safeguard customer data and support compliant innovation. This position offers strategic influence across the firm's technology roadmap and regulatory interactions, with a clear impact on enterprise risk posture and customer trust.

Responsibilities- Lead and continuously enhance the enterprise privacy and data protection program
- Establish privacy governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures
- Embed privacy risk considerations into business processes, technology solutions, products, and customer experiences
- Partner with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of responsible data stewardship
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report privacy risks across the enterprise
- Lead privacy and impact assessments and control evaluations to identify exposures and mitigation
- Develop and monitor risk indicators and metrics for privacy controls and governance
- Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management to integrate privacy into risk frameworks
- Oversee regulatory compliance and examinations related to privacy and data protection
- Lead AI governance efforts and responsible innovation, including governance standards for AI-enabled solutions
- Assess risks related to AI, privacy, and consumer protection; monitor evolving regulatory expectations
- Oversee data subject rights, consent management, and data protection requirements
- Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Technology, and Incident Response on privacy incidents and breach response
- Establish monitoring and testing programs for privacy compliance
- Develop privacy training and awareness initiatives
- Lead and develop a team of privacy, compliance, and governance professionals
- Advise executive leadership and governance bodies on privacy, data protection, and AI risks
- Build cross-functional partnerships to support governance and risk decisions
Key requirements- 15+ years of progressive leadership in privacy, legal, compliance, risk management, data protection, or related fields
- Deep understanding of GLBA, Regulation S-P, state privacy laws
- Experience in highly regulated financial services (broker-dealer, RIAs, banks, fintech)
- Knowledge of technology tools and their use in financial services; experience with AI governance or model governance
- Proven track record building and maturing enterprise compliance or risk programs
- Experience engaging with regulators, auditors, and governance committees
- Preferred JD with advisory experience in privacy/regulatory matters; regulator experience (e.g., SEC) is a plus
