Overview

In this role you will provide technical leadership and electrical engineering support to ensure safe, reliable operation of gathering systems, gas facilities, and related infrastructure. You will serve cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Field teams to troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and oversee facility modifications. You'll develop standards, support maintenance strategies, and guide outages and inspections. The role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration to drive continuous improvement in a complex industrial setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical engineering support for existing facilities, troubleshooting and reliability improvements
  • Lead root cause analyses for significant electrical equipment failures
  • Develop long-term reliability and lifecycle replacement strategies
  • Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, relay settings, load studies, and equipment modifications
  • Support MOC, PHA, PSSR, and incident investigations
  • Provide technical oversight during outages and major maintenance activities
  • Manage engineering consultants and contractors
  • Evaluate obsolete equipment and modernization plans
  • Support capital projects by reviewing designs for maintainability and operability
  • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations
  • Conduct site visits to support troubleshooting and maintenance
Key requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with relevant experience
  • Minimum 10 years in industrial electrical engineering; Oil & Gas experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, Hazardous Area Classification, NFPA, IEEE
  • Experience with high/medium/low voltage systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, motors, VFDs
  • Power system studies, relay coordination, arc flash, power quality
  • Ability to read and develop electrical drawings and schematics
  • Experience with predictive maintenance and electrical reliability programs
  • Experience coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability; leading consultants/contractors
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
