Overview As Overhead Transmission Project Engineer, you will lead design efforts for 69kV-500kV projects within a collaborative Transmission & Distribution group. You'll mentor teammates, serve as the main technical client contact, and implement quality controls to ensure successful deliverables. You'll support proposals, coordinate across disciplines, and identify technical risks and efficiency improvements. Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership for overhead transmission design teams on 69kV-500kV projects
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members
- Serve as primary technical point of contact for clients
- Implement quality control processes
- Support proposal development
- Coordinate project requirements and schedules across disciplines
- Identify and communicate technical risks
- Oversee production work to meet milestones
- Develop and communicate processes/tools to increase efficiency
- Create, improve, and deliver training to project teams and department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- 7 years of direct project engineering experience managing design efforts for Design-only and EPC projects
- Professional engineering license (PE)
- Ability to effectively lead project teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in scheduling and budgeting
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
- Consulting or utility experience preferred
