Overview As Risk Manager, you will lead risk identification, quantification, and mitigation for large-scale construction programs. You will integrate risk insights with program controls to safeguard cost, schedule, and outcomes. Responsibilities- Maintain visibility into risk triggers to support cost profiling and risk budgeting
- Use risk data to inform investment planning and monitor risk exposure
- Collaborate with contractors to align on client-held risks and views
- Produce timely risk reports communicating threat and opportunity status
- Perform quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to determine contingency levels
- Lead development and improvement of risk management services for the client
- Manage end-to-end project risk management across multiple projects/programs
- Create risk management plans in line with client requirements and governance
- Conduct regular risk reviews to identify responses and monitor risk profiles
- Lead a comprehensive schedule and cost-focused risk assessment process (QCRA & QSRA)
- Integrate risk management with program controls, cost, schedule, change control, and reporting
- Collaborate with program/project controls to remove redundancies and identify improvements
- Facilitate knowledge transfer within risk and project controls teams and to clients
- Create value-stream maps to quantify issues and reduce waste
- Support supplier performance management and track improvement actions
- Provide support to expert witnesses in disputes or arbitral processes
- Oversee construction stage contract and claims management, including assessment and settlements
- Adhere to SOX controls where applicable
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of applicable experience
- Procurement and contract management experience within construction projects
- Experience in Program Management or Program Controls
- Deep knowledge of risk identification and techniques
- Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills
- Understanding of construction contracts, commercial models, and delivery methods
- Proficiency in process mapping, root cause analysis, problem solving, and value-stream mapping
- Familiarity with ARM, Predict, Tableau
