Overview In this role you contribute to pre-silicon emulation and post-silicon validation of cutting-edge mixed-signal audio chips. You will work with a cross-functional team to ensure functionality and performance per datasheets, driving high-quality validation outcomes. You'll build automated test infrastructure to enhance efficiency and reliability, and solve silicon, board, and tool issues that impact product readiness. This position offers hands-on lab work in Austin and a chance to shape next-gen audio solutions.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute tests on the lab bench per the validation plan for pre-silicon and post-silicon phases
- Develop automated test framework and regression test suites in MATLAB and/or LabVIEW
- Collaborate with IC Design, Systems, and Application engineers to understand requirements and use cases
- Debug analog/digital silicon issues, board issues and Validation software/hardware tool issues
- Analyze test results and identify failures/defects using Spotfire
Key requirements- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with up to 2+ years of experience
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, C, Python or similar
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators or general lab gear
- Strong knowledge in analog, digital, power electronics or audio engineering
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work across functional groups
