Overview In this role you drive the Design-Build Water operations for the Southeast, shaping a scalable, high-performing regional organization. You'll own talent development, standardization of processes, and delivery excellence across multiple markets. You'll partner with business development and delivery teams to win work and ensure safe, on-time, profitable project execution. Responsibilities- Build and lead the Southeast Design-Build Water construction organization
- Expand direct-hire construction capabilities in the Southeast
- Develop and execute a regional growth strategy for water and wastewater markets
- Establish a scalable operations organization to support year-over-year growth
- Recruit, develop, and retain construction professionals for regional delivery
- Lead construction execution with focus on safety, quality, schedule certainty, and financial performance
- Collaborate with Business Development and Client Directors to pursue and win new design-build opportunities
- Strengthen relationships with municipal, utility, and industrial clients in the Southeast
- Develop regional leadership succession plans and workforce development programs
- Standardize processes, execution methodologies, and best practices across the region
- Support strategic planning for expansion into new markets and delivery models
- Develop and implement a regional Direct Hire Construction growth plan
- Establish annual hiring plans and organizational development strategies
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Lead workforce planning, craft labor strategies, and resource forecasting
- Build a scalable regional construction organization to support significant growth
- Develop workforce planning strategies and staffing alignment with project demand
- Lead recruitment for construction leadership roles and develop future operational leaders
- Create mentoring, coaching and professional development programs
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, collaboration, and innovation
- Develop strategies to increase self-perform capabilities and improve project competitiveness
- Standardize execution methodologies and build tools to support efficient delivery
- Strengthen field leadership resources for multiple concurrent projects
- Identify best practices and standardize across the organization
Key requirements- 20+ years of progressive construction leadership experience
- 10+ years leading Design-Build, EPC, CMAR, or Direct Hire Construction organizations
- Proven experience managing large-scale water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure over $100M
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction or equivalent experience
- 10-20 years of construction operations experience depending on area
- Ability to pass pre-employment onboarding including background checks and drug screening
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- DBIA certification preferred
- CCM certification preferred
- OSHA 30-Hour certification required or obtainable
