Overview As Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager, you will analyze and underwrite large corporate loans and structured products while coordinating closings. You'll monitor credit risk with Directors and MDs and prepare materials for approval. You'll evaluate portfolio performance and propose marks on collateral, supporting cross-functional processing with originators and management. This role sits within a growing team and offers exposure to a substantial AUM base, with opportunities to influence risk decisions and portfolio strategy.

Responsibilities- Analyze and coordinate closing of large corporate loans and structured products ($25mm+)
- Monitor credit risk with Directors and MDs
- Gather and present information for Senior Management or Loan Committee approvals
- Prepare portfolio scorecards and recommend collateral marks
- Coordinate loan processing to align with bank policies and customer needs
- Undertake underwriting, portfolio management, and related tasks for new loan requests and portfolio upkeep
Key requirements- 4+ years of experience in Portfolio Management or similar field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Fixed Income investing
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring
- Credit analyst training completed
- Advanced speaking, Excel and writing communication skills
- Progress toward or completion of CFA
