Overview In this role you will oversee the accounting and reporting for AIG's invested assets, ensuring accurate close processes and financial disclosures. You will work closely with corporate controllers and multiple entities to implement new investment accounting standards and systems. The position focuses on compliance, data integrity, and effective collaboration across teams to support regulatory reporting and investor communications. Responsibilities- Execute monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure accurate invested assets data across entities
- Support preparation of Investment disclosures for 10Q/K and Financial Supplement (Investment, Lending, Fair Value, VIE Footnotes, MD&A)
- Support NAIC statutory and other regulatory reporting requirements
- Lead process improvements in coordination with the department and organization
- Act as key contact for business units and corporate controllers
- Coordinate with various areas to understand new investment transactions and ensure proper accounting in the ledgers
- Perform ad-hoc analytical requests
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 7+ years' experience in accounting and reporting for investment products
- Strong understanding of investment products and accounting for fixed maturity, equity, and other investments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and recording of investment-related journal entries
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting and preparation of statutory schedules
- Experience with foreign currency remeasurement and translation
- Excellent analytical skills and investment data analysis with commentary
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
- Ability to collaborate across locations and manage multiple projects while maintaining quality
