Overview In this role, you lead a cross-disciplinary SQE team to ensure high-quality parts and systems for Anduril's drone programs. You'll partner with design, sourcing, and program management to embed supplier quality in development, accelerate maturity, and reduce risk across multi-site operations. Responsibilities- Lead a cross-discipline engineering team focused on PCBA, avionics, cameras, batteries, energetics, precision machined parts, and related subsystems for drone programs
- Partner with design teams to provide DFx feedback and generate product data for supplier quality success
- Drive supplier quality development throughout product development through design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification
- Collaborate with development engineering, product quality engineering, sourcing engineering, category management, and program management to deliver predictable supplier performance
- Ensure readiness by analyzing critical characteristics, developing measurement systems, and driving supplier qualification activities (e.g., PPAP, FAIR, audits)
- Coordinate with category management and sourcing to improve supplier performance in cost, quality, delivery, and strategic sourcing goals
- Define KPIs and use performance data to drive alignment across multi-site organizations
- Lead continuous improvement in supplier quality, cycle time, and delivery; establish technical strategies with internal and external partners
- Lead across multiple sites supporting Launched Effects / Tactical Strike and Reconnaissance portfolios
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train SQEs to enhance Anduril's culture and project synergies
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field
- Minimum 10 years of supplier or operations quality management
- Minimum 5 years in a management role with growth in Supplier Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience evaluating and auditing imaging, gimbals, electromechanical, PCBA, propulsion, energetics, composites, mechanical parts, and EM sub-assemblies
- Experience prioritizing development and production phases of product life cycle
- Experience flowing down Source Control requirements to suppliers
- Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 QMS requirements; AS9100 Lead/Internal Auditor is a plus
- Experience performing First Article Inspection to AS9102 and ensuring suppliers have valid control plans
- Experience driving supplier performance and evaluation; familiarity with SOW, IP, ITAR
- Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP elements (MSA, GD&T)
- Strong ownership mindset; ability to drive projects end-to-end
- Analytical skills with data mining, metrics, and statistical tools (e.g., MATLAB, JMP, Minitab)
- Ability to obtain and hold US TS/SCI clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to suppliers and sites
