Overview As Manager in KPMG's SALT practice, you guide multinational clients through indirect tax technology needs, from implementation to optimization. You'll work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver tax tech solutions and drive business transformation. You will support proposals, marketing, and client development while mentoring junior staff. This role combines technical tax expertise with advisory delivery for high-profile clients in a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

Responsibilities- Deliver client-facing services on global indirect tax technology needs, including systems implementation, transaction and supply-chain analyses, and business requirements analysis
- Assist in preparing responses to client proposals
- Manage external vendor relationships with key business partners
- Prepare and deliver SUT/VAT technology training for external and internal audiences
- Support practice marketing and business development efforts
- Assist Partners and Senior Managers with engagement administration, engagement management, and client billing; help develop client and internal relationships
Key requirements- 5+ years with SAP, Oracle, Vertex, and similar ERP apps, especially for tax, AP/PO, AR, and/or GL modules
- 5+ years implementing major indirect tax technology solutions (e.g., Vertex) for NA/global organizations
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
- Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, MTX, CMI, PMP, MCSD, TCERTIMP, MCITP or other approved credential (or within 1 year of hire to obtain)
- Understanding of indirect tax processes with broad industry exposure (retail, financial services, manufacturing, telecom)
- Certified as a sales/use and/or global indirect tax implementation professional; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio or process-mapping software
