Overview You will own linguistic quality and end-to-end localization initiatives for LATAM Spanish across Marketplace channels, partnering with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and International Markets. This role blends hands-on language work with program management, including intake, scoping, planning, and vendor oversight, to ensure culturally relevant, high-quality content. Responsibilities- Translate, edit, and review high-priority content into Latin American Spanish across Seller Center, Marketing, Learn, and other channels
- Provide final linguistic approval of translations from external vendors based on accuracy, tone, and brand voice
- Define regional vs market-specific Spanish adaptations and guide terminology differences
- Maintain translation memories, glossaries, style guides, and QA standards with international and vendor teams
- Manage localization projects from intake to closeout, including scoping, scheduling, QA, and launch readiness
- Create and maintain project plans, status reports, and risk logs; track dependencies and decisions
- Coordinate concurrent workstreams, manage deadlines and vendor capacity, escalate blockers
- Lead cross-functional sessions to align requirements and communicate launch readiness
- Track delivery and quality metrics to improve planning and stakeholder visibility
- Triage issues, distinguish linguistic vs product defects, and coordinate resolution
- Train and calibrate external linguists and vendors to meet SLA and quality expectations
- Operate localization workflows across translation management, content management, and marketing systems
- Identify bottlenecks and standardize documentation to scale localization across markets
Key requirements- Proficiency in Latin American Spanish (ESMX and ESCL) and English, with native-like fluency
- 5+ years in localization or content operations for tech/e-commerce/digital products; 2+ years leading cross-functional projects
- Hands-on experience with CAT tools, TMS platforms, and automated localization workflows
- Experience with software/UI localization, QA, terminology management, style guides, and translation memory
- Excellent project-management and stakeholder-management skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
