Overview In this role you will lead maintenance for the Brunswick Cellulose Mill, driving continuous improvement and safe, reliable production. You'll mentor a maintenance team, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and implement asset management and training programs to reduce downtime. The position supports sustainability and transformation via strategic investments, shaping maintenance practices in a large pulp/maper operation. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and Learning & Development to maximize equipment performance and safety.

Responsibilities- Lead safety and reliability initiatives to minimize incidents and downtime
- Develop and coach maintenance staff, fostering continuous improvement and accountability
- Coordinate maintenance activities for timely, quality execution of tasks
- Collaborate with capability, engineering, and operations teams to optimize maintenance and production outputs
- Implement training plans with Learning and Development to upskill staff
- Manage departmental salary alignment with daily operational goals
- Define preventive maintenance expectations and improve equipment reliability
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and drive improvement
- Maintain asset management systems for maintenance history, spare parts, and work orders
- Support capital and expense investments for sustainability and transformation
Key requirements- Leadership experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in solving maintenance-related problems
- Experience driving continuous improvement with measurable results
- Experience in paper industry, machine roll management, instrument calibration compliance, and precision maintenance tasks such as bearing changes and gear boxes
