Director, Property Claims -Remote - Midwest

As Director, Claims - Property you will lead complex property claim handling within the Property Division, with potential expansion to Inland Marine and Product Recall. You will manage outcomes for a portfolio of key claims, including severe and complex losses, and work with stakeholders across underwriting, risk, and legal to drive fair resolutions. You will conduct on-site investigations, oversee TPAs and consultants, and shape coverage analysis and disposition strategies. This role blends field leadership with enterprise-wide initiatives to improve financial results. You will operate in a hybrid, travel-enabled environment and play a pivotal role in shaping claim strategy and outcomes.

• Lead and manage property claims, with potential involvement in Inland Marine and Product Recall
• Perform on-site meetings, inspections, and investigations with insureds and experts
• Directly handle primary property claims and oversee primary E&S claims, plus supervision of program/TPA-administered claims
• Collaborate with claim leadership and business partners to ensure timely coverage analysis, investigation, damages evaluation, and reserving
• Drive action plans for fair resolutions and coordinate response operations, consultants, and vendors
• Assign panel counsel as needed and develop litigation strategies
• Oversee hotline operations and monitor claim developments
• Support enterprise-wide initiatives to improve financial results and LAE management

• Minimum 10 years' experience in complex commercial field claim adjusting and coverage analysis
• Experience with complex claim handling, litigation management, and leadership or training responsibilities
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact across organizational levels
• Analytical skills using metrics to manage the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claim-related systems
• Operational excellence mindset with process improvement and expense management
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to mentor across teams
• Hybrid work capability with regular travel and valid driver's license
• Active Property and Casualty Adjuster license in Texas and Florida; additional state licenses as needed
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
