Overview As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will drive the fabrication and assembly of fuel cell components and units, coordinating across engineering, procurement, and quality teams. You will lead production initiatives to improve equipment, processes, cost, and performance while addressing non-conformances with data-driven root-cause analysis. The role emphasizes mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and translating organizational goals into practical production priorities. You will contribute to upgrading facilities and commissioning new floor equipment, helping HyAxiom scale reliable energy solutions for data centers. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring on-site work in South Windsor,
Responsibilities- Coordinate fabrication and assembly operations to meet objectives
- Lead and support manufacturing engineering teams across disciplines
- Manage resource allocation, processes, and non-conformance resolution
- Support upgrading and commissioning of new floor equipment and facilities
- Collaborate with procurement, materials, engineering, and quality groups
- Root-cause data collection and remediation for defects
- Mentor and develop technician and engineer team members
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment, processes, and productivity
- Lead weekly production meetings and communicate priorities across the organization
- Demonstrate organizational savvy to navigate barriers and resource constraints
Key requirements- Bachelor, or MA/MS with relevant experience, or PhD with some experience
- 4-7+ years for BA/BS pathway
- 2-5+ years for MA/MS pathway
- 0-2+ years for PhD pathway
- Experience leading hourly production groups (union or non-union)
- Strong manufacturing engineering foundation
- Experience with quality tools and process improvement, root cause/corrective action
- Excellent project management and leadership, with strong communications
