Overview

As Site Safety Manager, you lead safety governance for a localized construction project, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. You work closely with the project team and Risk Management to prioritize safety and mitigate claims. You'll administer the Clune Safety Policy and guide the safety program on site, partnering with cross-functional teams to exceed client safety requirements. This role offers impact through shaping on-site safety culture and program delivery on a multi-year project.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an internal safety consultant across company sites
  • Ensure compliance of employees, trade partners, visitors, and vendors with safety guidelines and regulations
  • Collaborate with project teams to meet/exceed client safety requirements
  • Manage client safety documentation and audits; maintain accurate records
  • Provide safety statistics and guidance during planning and execution
  • Coordinate safety education programs for management, supervision, and staff
  • Participate in safety meetings and pursue external trainings for certifications
  • Model professional behavior for all stakeholders on-site
  • Mentor Safety Personnel assigned to the project
Key requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for discussions across all levels
  • Robust planning skills for scheduling meetings and site activities
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities with detailed record-keeping
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to act as internal and external safety liaison
  • Mentoring skills to develop safety knowledge of colleagues
  • Physical ability to perform on-site duties (standing, walking, climbing, etc.)
