Overview In this role you lead Walmart's facilities management and sustainability efforts, shaping maintenance strategies and capital projects. You oversee regional field operations, drive energy- and cost-saving initiatives, and ensure compliance with HVAC/R regulations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize resources, safety, and reliability of facility systems. Responsibilities- Direct sustainability initiatives ensuring EPA compliance and resolving vendor/contractor issues
- Manage complex projects, prioritize work, supervise progress, and approve material and timecard requisitions
- Oversee regional field operations, set goals, monitor contractor performance, and support district initiatives
- Develop and approve budgets for capital expenses, staffing, and compensation; evaluate ROI and approve contracts
- Ensure project timelines, cost management, and procurement oversight including invoices and changes
- Maintain department budget, validate material/labor spending, and manage warranty reimbursements
- Ensure regulatory compliance across federal/state/local HVAC, refrigeration, and energy laws
- Provide leadership development, coaching, performance management, and a culture of belonging
- Drive business plans and performance measures, remove barriers, and support continuous learning
- Foster integrity, customer/member focus, and disciplined execution of Walmart values and policies
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
- 3 years' experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, or related area OR 5 years' experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, or related area
- EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire
- Experience supervising associates and working on cross-functional teams
