Overview

Senior Hydrogeologist sought to lead hydrogeology projects within Stantec's Environmental Services team. You will work with a multi-disciplinary group to design field programs, develop conceptual models, and deliver technically robust reports for clients. The role emphasizes client interaction, project leadership, and mentoring colleagues, contributing to a safety driven, growth oriented environment. Responsibilities
  • Lead hydrogeology projects or components within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Prepare proposals, work plans and budgets; manage projects/tasks
  • Develop conceptual hydrogeological models to support field design
  • Design and supervise hydrogeology field investigations
  • Collaborate on baseline/impact assessments, groundwater/surface water studies, and contaminant investigations
  • Prepare technical reports and client presentations; QA/QC of deliverables
  • Travel to field sites as needed; interact with clients
  • Promote health, safety, and environment program adherence
  • Demonstrate use of established practices and guidelines
  • Mentor junior staff and balance multiple priorities
Key requirements
  • 20+ years of relevant consulting or regulatory experience
  • P.Geo. or P.Eng. eligibility required
  • Valid Driver's License for business travel
  • Strong written/verbal communication and technical report writing skills
  • Ability to mentor junior/intermediate staff and operate independently
  • Experience with groundwater flow and transport modeling is an asset
  • Knowledge of mine and environmental regulations and groundwater chemistry is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with field investigations and project leadership
