Overview

As a Senior Process Engineer in Formulations North, you lead cross-functional teams to advance process technologies for safe, efficient, and sustainable production of formulated products. You collaborate with site and corporate stakeholders to meet safety, quality, and environmental goals while pursuing continuous improvement. You will act as the process expert for large-scale investment projects and drive standardization of operating documentation. This role offers hands-on scope to shape formulations and optimize plant performance within a fast-moving, mission-driven company.

Responsibilities
  • Set tactical direction to meet safety, quality, waste minimization, capacity, reliability, and operability goals
  • Coordinate production timing and raw material availability with planners
  • Support KPIs related to safety, quality, waste minimization, capacity, reliability, and operability
  • Investigate performance issues and propose technical solutions
  • Serve as process expert for design, construction, and implementation of investments
  • Create and maintain operating documentation standards (SOPs, process descriptions, energy/material balances, P&IDs)
  • Provide leadership to cross-site optimization and reliability teams; develop continuous improvement goals and metrics
  • Act as process expert for HAZOP and process safety analyses
  • Propose and run plant trials to enhance performance
  • Mentor engineers and develop personnel
  • Represent manufacturing on Technical Core Team and manage Process Management File changes
  • Support Site-wide procedures, guidelines, and design standards as SME; lead site-level corporate teams
  • Foster knowledge transfer and experience sharing among Plant Engineers
  • Support Site and Area Production System improvements (OnePSS, DSO)
Key requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Seven years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills, written and spoken
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and implement corrective actions
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently or in a team
  • Strong communication
