Overview In this Program Manager role, you lead multiple engineering projects from award through 90 days post-SOP, ensuring on-time, on-spec delivery within budget. You will coordinate a cross-functional team and serve as the primary customer interface, driving risk management and status reporting. You help align programs with the company's quality and environmental policies while capturing lessons learned for future programs. This is a pivotal role shaping program execution and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and project leadership from concept to launch for cross-functional teams
- Meet all project deliverables and requirements aligned with customer SOW
- Communicate project status and proactively manage risk
- Act as primary customer interface for project issues
- Maintain project costs within baseline budgets for BOM, tooling, and investment
- Develop and maintain project timing charts to meet milestones
- Establish countermeasures when deliverables are at risk
- Initiate and publish the program open issues report
- Build and manage an effective team
- Review lessons learned and document best practices from each project
- Support internal and external cost-cutting efforts
- Ensure awareness of EMS and QMS requirements and environmental responsibilities
Key requirements- 5 years of program management experience with engineered products
- Multiple product launch experience in the automotive industry as a Tier 1 supplier
- Bachelor's degree in technical field, or ten years of Project Management experience
- Automotive lighting and/or electronics experience preferred
