Senior Compensation Consultant

Overview

In this role you drive advanced compensation expertise to support MFS's business and talent goals. You lead complex compensation workstreams and translate data and market insights into actionable guidance. You partner with Compensation leadership, HR, and Finance to ensure programs are effective, aligned with our philosophy, and well-governed. Expect to leverage analytics to inform decisions and improve scalability, with a strong emphasis on risk management and auditability. This is a people-centered, cross-functional role at a firm that values impact and transparency.

Responsibilities
  • Own and lead complex compensation programs and processes within established frameworks
  • Apply deep compensation knowledge to evaluate issues, identify risks, and propose practical solutions
  • Use market data and analytics to assess competitiveness and internal equity
  • Interpret data trends to provide scenarios and recommendations for planning
  • Provide senior-level consultation to HR, Finance, and business stakeholders on compensation matters
  • Ensure governance, controls, and documentation support consistency and risk management
  • Continuously improve compensation processes, tools, and workflows for efficiency and scalability
  • Lead mid-to-large compensation projects with clear scope and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate across the Compensation team and mentor junior colleagues
Key requirements
  • 6-8+ years of experience in compensation or related analytical discipline
  • Strong analytical capability with market data and analytics experience
  • Ability to simplify complex information into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Advanced Excel skills with complex models
