Overview In this role, you serve as a forward-thinking tax advisor within a respected Chicago-area firm. You lead and review complex federal and state tax returns while mentoring staff and shaping practical, forward-looking solutions. Responsibilities- Provide proactive tax advisory and strategy for a diverse client portfolio
- Lead tax engagements across industries such as Real Estate, Healthcare, Cannabis, and Nonprofit accounting
- Identify long-term financial goals for clients and assemble capable teams to execute solutions
- Direct preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns ensuring technical excellence
- Mentor and develop staff to foster innovation and proactive problem solving
Key requirements- 7+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax services and business consulting
- Active CPA license
- Industry knowledge in medical practices, real estate firms, or restaurants is a plus
