Overview As a Senior Commissioning Engineer, you lead commissioning for large-scale critical facilities, spanning design to post-construction. You will apply deep MEP commissioning knowledge and QA/QC leadership to ensure projects meet ASHRAE, CSA and LEED standards. You'll develop commissioning plans, supervise field testing, and drive cross-functional collaboration with contractors and AHJs. This role offers impact across project phases and opportunities to shape high-performance buildings. You will work with a collaborative team to deliver reliable, efficient facilities while traveling to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities- Lead commissioning activities across design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases
- Develop and implement Commissioning Plans and Specifications and QA/QC programs for complex facilities
- Conduct field-based commissioning, startup witnessing, functional and integrated systems testing
- Prepare, review, and issue commissioning deliverables and SOPs/MOPs
- Coordinate with General Contractors, MEP trades, inspectors, AHJs, and consultants; chair commissioning meetings
- Manage project documentation, issues logs, and site-specific systems manuals
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Provide status reports and manage contractor schedule updates and QA/QC
- Develop training programs for installed equipment and systems
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent (Engineering degree preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of MEP engineering and/or field-testing experience
- Minimum 5 years in building commissioning and/or construction QA/QC field services
- Expert knowledge of commissioning per ASHRAE, CSA, LEED
- Proficiency with electrical testing meters and equipment (Power Quality Meters, thermography, NETA tests, hi-pot, megger)
- Experience testing transformers, UPS, generators, EPMS, and power distribution systems
- Proficiency with QA/QC/commissioning software (BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid)
- MS Project, Word, Excel; strong data management
