Overview As Senior Structural Engineer - Buildings, you will bring technical leadership to complex building projects and mentor teams. You will plan and oversee design activities, manage project scope and resources, and contribute to larger initiatives as a project manager when needed. Responsibilities- Act as a technical authority in structural engineering for projects and resolve complex problems
- Plan and develop project or design activities
- Organize and supervise medium to large professional/technical staff
- Serve as Project Manager on larger projects when required
- Perform additional duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional engineering license (PE / P.Eng) in the project location
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience related to building design
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or equivalent software
- Experience in design calculations and layouts
- Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and wood
- Knowledge of gravity and lateral analysis
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
