Scheduling Director (Renewables EPC, strategic leadership)

Overview

As Director of Scheduling, you will lead MasTec Renewables' scheduling and planning functions to drive operational excellence across projects. You will partner with executive and operations leaders to improve execution, predictability, and measurable results, shaping best-in-class scheduling practices. Your leadership will build a high-performing team, champion process and technology improvements, and deliver actionable schedule intelligence. This role offers strategic influence, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to transform scheduling at scale within a leading renewables contractor.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the scheduling team, including assignments, performance, and ongoing training
  • Drive business process improvements and strategic initiatives across Project Controls and Operations
  • Standardize scheduling processes, procedures, templates, and compliance tracking
  • Own and maintain scheduling tools and systems, notably Primavera P6
  • Conduct quality audits on project schedules to ensure accuracy and reporting integrity
  • Serve as trusted advisor to project management, operations leadership, and executives
  • Deliver actionable schedule reports and forecasts to stakeholders
  • Oversee all schedule types (baselines, forecasts, recovery plans, delay scenarios)
  • Perform advanced schedule analysis (risk, impact analyses, forensic reviews)
  • Ensure schedule integration with cost control, estimating, engineering, procurement, and construction teams
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • 15+ years in project management and/or project controls
  • Five+ years of supervisory experience
  • PSP and/or PMI-SP certification preferred
  • Renewable energy construction experience preferred
  • Experience presenting complex schedule data to project teams and executives
  • Ability to drive innovative scheduling solutions and process improvements
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
