Regional Safety Manager - Senior Living

Overview

In this role you will support safety, emergency preparedness, and loss-prevention programs across assigned communities. You will partner with regional leaders to assess risk, investigate incidents, and promote consistent safety standards. You will travel regionally to conduct assessments, deliver training, and drive a proactive safety culture. The role offers the chance to shape safety practices in a multi-site senior living environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce risk and ensure regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Implement safety programs and standards across assigned communities
  • Provide guidance to executive directors and site leaders on resident safety and operational risk
  • Conduct on-site safety assessments, inspections, and risk reviews with recommendations
  • Collaborate with clinical, facilities, HR, and operations to mitigate safety risks
  • Perform hazard assessments, JHA, ergonomic reviews, and PPE assessments
  • Investigate significant injuries and high-risk incidents; lead root-cause analysis
  • Monitor safety data to identify patterns and propose prevention strategies
  • Lead safety audits, remediation plans, and regulatory readiness activities
  • Support compliance with OSHA, CMS, licensing, fire authorities, and other regulators
  • Develop and deliver safety training and communications for leaders and staff
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of progressive safety, EH&S, healthcare/senior living safety, risk management, or loss prevention experience
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other federal/state/local safety requirements
  • Experience supporting emergency preparedness, drills, or incident response
  • Ability to analyze safety and compliance data and make practical recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel regionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety-management systems
