Overview Senior Electrical Field Engineer at Axia Electric (Shimmick) leads electrical and process control work on critical infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, within-budget electrical scopes for water, transit, and energy facilities. You'll tackle field inspections, construction administration, and budget alignment, shaping complex solutions for public-sector clients. Responsibilities- Perform standard-engineering tasks and develop details of work
- Assist with field inspections and construction administration
- Coordinate project documentation and centralized files (digital)
- Support with budgets, reporting, and project meetings
- Prepare reports and assist with community outreach when needed
- Participate in planning and scheduling with project managers
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines under supervision
- Research project information for reporting and funding requests
- Attend neighborhood and project meetings
- Assist with scope for design and deviations from plans
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Preferred: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
- Rail, Transit, and/or Water/Wastewater project experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to manage changing deadlines and work under pressure
