Credit and Risk Manager

Job description

Overview

In this role you drive credit risk analytics within Medpace's Commercial Operations to safeguard the portfolio. You collaborate with Account Management and Treasury to gather insights and report credit exposure to Executive management monthly. You develop risk models and analytics to identify high-risk customers, support decisions on limits and holds, and propose improvements to credit policies to sustain quality.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in credit risk and provide analytical support to the Account Management group
  • Review customer credit information and set credit limits/holds balancing risk with business needs
  • Analyze portfolio-level data to monitor risk factors and propose solutions
  • Escalate highest risk customers to Executive management
  • Conduct ad-hoc portfolio analyses as needed
  • Report and analyze customer credit in line with policies and processes
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Treasury while maintaining objectivity
  • Develop or evaluate models used for credit ratings/scores
  • Access and query databases to create/maintain data sets
  • Identify potential policy or operational improvements to enhance credit quality
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related field
  • MBA/CFA/CPA preferred
  • At least 3 years of credit/risk experience; minimum 5 years total professional experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Prior management experience preferred
