Overview In this role you will drive the torque tool strategy across multiple manufacturing sites to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. You'll partner with manufacturing, quality, product engineering, and IT/IoT teams to ensure proper tool selection and system integration. You will plan from specification through installation and maintainability, while enabling enterprise-wide data collection and process control. Responsibilities- Lead development, implementation, and maintainability strategy for torque tool deployment across multiple facilities
- Integrate torque-monitored solutions with MES and ERP systems to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Plan scalable torque tool strategy from specification, procurement, installation, programming, validation, to maintainability
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and IT/IoT teams for tool selection, process integration, calibration, and sustainability
- Work with equipment vendors to identify industry-leading torque tools and control systems for enterprise deployment
- Create standardized documentation including standard work, preventive maintenance plans, and programming parameters
- Lead torque system, ERP, and MES integration for data collection, process monitoring and control
- Maintain regular attendance and participate in meetings; communicate effectively across the organization
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Key requirements- 8+ years of experience designing and implementing processes in high-volume, high-mix or semi-automated manufacturing
- Expertise in manufacturing engineering strategies; knowledge of value stream mapping, lean six sigma, DFMA, and manufacturing systems design
- Proven track record leading cross-functional projects with scope, schedule, and cost targets
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills to evaluate complex systems and drive continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with executives to gain buy-in
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Lean Six Sigma, CAD proficiency (preferred)
