Responsibilities- Direct daily coordination of trade partners and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work aligned with the project schedule
- Develop, document, and communicate field work plans and changes
- Proactively review contract documents to anticipate issues
- Participate in constructability reviews and assess change impacts
- Ensure permits are obtained for construction
- Act as primary safety representative in the field
- Establish credibility with owners, unions, and project partners
- Lead contractor meetings regularly
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation using software
- Create and update the project schedule with contingency plans
- Communicate schedule status and changes to project team and trades
- Plan, coordinate, and manage jobsite logistics
- Oversee the project quality plan and inspections
- Coordinate material orders with Site Services/Next 150
- Coach and mentor junior field staff
- Support scope writing and buyout activities
- Assist in Time and Materials tracking
- Lead daily huddles, pre-task plans, and stretch/flex activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 4-8 years of superintendent experience on projects $15-$30M+ (commercial, healthcare, or industrial)
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- STS-C Certification
- First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Teamwork and daily collaboration with project teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of construction scheduling software and other construction tools
- Experience with multiple divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control
- Strong safety process knowledge and ability to enforce the safety plan
