Overview In this role you lead a small team of Multi-Asset risk specialists within Goldman Sachs Asset Management to protect client capital and enable informed risk-taking. You will partner with Multi-Asset CIOs, portfolio managers and senior stakeholders to influence portfolio construction and risk appetite. Expect to drive enhancements in risk tooling, deliver clear risk insights, and strengthen governance through transparent reporting. You'll operate at the center of risk management, shaping how the platform navigates stress, liquidity and market dynamics at scale.

Responsibilities- Lead, coach and develop a small team; set priorities and ensure high-quality delivery
- Own senior relationships with Multi-Asset CIOs, PMs and key stakeholders; provide independent risk perspectives
- Drive enhancements to Multi-Asset risk capabilities and tooling (stress/scenario, factor & liquidity analytics, attribution) with Engineering/Technology
- Deliver risk and performance insights for MAS funds and OCIO mandates; lead review discussions with investment teams
- Oversee daily/weekly monitoring of key portfolio risks within the independent risk governance framework
- Provide clear, decision-useful risk reporting to divisional and risk leadership on MAS exposures and themes
Key requirements- 7+ years of buy-side risk management experience, multi-asset focus ideal
- Ability to partner with senior investment stakeholders and influence decisions with independent risk views
- Strong understanding of cross-asset dynamics, correlations and risk drivers; familiarity with factor frameworks
- Hands-on knowledge of core risk and performance analytics (VaR, stress/scenario, tracking error, liquidity risk, attribution)
- Experience producing concise, governance-ready reporting for senior leadership
- Proven or demonstrated leadership potential: coaching and driving execution
