Senior Associate, Credit Specialist

Overview

In this role you will contribute to credit specialist components of audit engagements, including SEC registrants, ensuring high-quality audits. You will identify issues, drive process improvements, and coordinate engagement activities with clients and team members. You will support the design and execution of credit accounting audit procedures and stay current on accounting literature. You will supervise and coach junior staff, providing feedback and review. This position sits within KPMG's Audit practice and offers opportunities to grow in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Execute day-to-day credit specialist activities within audit engagements, including SEC registrants
  • Identify issues and opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements and communicate to Managers and Partners
  • Coordinate engagement activities and client interactions to ensure smooth information flow
  • Support design and execution of the engagement's credit accounting audit approach in line with standards and firm guidance
  • Stay current on accounting literature and developments relevant to assigned industries
  • Supervise and coach Associates, provide timely feedback, and review their documentation
Key requirements
  • Minimum two years of credit accounting and risk assessment experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Applied working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting procedures
  • Ability to meet challenging client requirements; demonstrated supervisory experience; strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills
