Overview In this role you will advance product reliability for Milwaukee Tool by leading cross-functional teams through development and post-launch activities. You'll refine CtQ requirements, guide reliability testing, and drive data-driven decisions to ensure high-performance products. You'll collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, and test labs to align on reliability objectives and actionable improvements. This position offers exposure to design, manufacturing, and testing in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Responsibilities- Lead teams on new product designs and changes with focus on reliability and user requirements
- Identify critical-to-quality requirements across mechanical and electrical features
- Manage multiple projects to stay on schedule and align with Milwaukee Tool processes
- Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering on reliability and testing aspects
- Develop test plans and procedures to meet customer requirements
- Coordinate with test laboratories to implement and complete tests
- Apply statistical analyses (Weibull, reliability distributions) to draw conclusions from data
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (FRACA)
- Communicate findings in concise written and verbal formats
Key requirements- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 2-5+ years in reliability and quality
- Experience with new product commercialization and quality engineering fundamentals
- Experience leading a function within a project team
- DOE, life data analysis, and other statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Reliasoft)
- Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel 10% (domestic and international)
- Preferred: ASQ CRE or DFSS / Six Sigma experience
