Aeronautical Engineer Mgr - L5

In this role you lead a disciplined engineering team within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Skunk Works to plan, execute, and analyze flight test missions for advanced air vehicles. You'll align test activities with safety plans and SOPs, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure asset readiness and mission qualification. You'll drive real-time and postflight data analysis to enable rapid, practical solutions for challenging problems. The position combines leadership, technical depth, and mission-critical testing in a high-visibility environment.

• Plan, schedule and execute flight test missions
• Develop and publish test plans and flight test cards
• Define test requirements and configuration with engineering, maintenance, instrumentation and flight ops
• Ensure compliance with test safety plans and SOPs
• Participate in test mission briefings, debriefings and control room operations
• Meet mission qualification requirements
• Perform real-time and postflight data analysis

• Bachelor's degree
• Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to maintain and obtain SAP access
• Leadership experience including hiring, performance reviews, promotions, training
• Proven flight test experience
• History in a Mission Control Room with multi-disciplinary test teams
