Overview

In this role you will advance analytical and formulation development for synthetic drug substances, from early research through commercialization. You will work with cross-functional teams to select and characterize formulations, identify risks, and ensure regulatory-compliant drug product delivery. You'll contribute to optimizing drug form and performance, shaping development strategies, and delivering solutions that impact patients. Responsibilities
  • Develop analytical methods and perform experiments to support early clinical formulation development for diverse synthetic drug molecules.
  • Collaborate with formulation scientists to guide formulation selection and characterization for pre-clinical and early clinical candidates.
  • Partner with biopharmaceutical modeling scientists, analytical chemists, pharmaceutical scientists, and engineers to define drug form and process characteristics for desired product performance.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks affecting clinical and commercial drug product performance and production.
  • Execute activities in compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, GLP/GMP, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare regulatory documents and articulate product performance control strategies and biopharmaceutics risk mitigation for trials and commercialization.
  • Contribute to a culture of diverse thinking to drive innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills and engage with external scientific communities to foster collaborations.
Key requirements
  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related discipline
  • Understanding of analytical techniques for physicochemical characterization and drug product performance (e.g., HPLC, UV, NIR, dissolution)
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and writing abilities
