Overview

In this role you drive decarbonization and energy efficiency initiatives for commercial real estate clients. You will collaborate with energy specialists to shape energy, water, and greenhouse gas reduction programs and deliver clear technical and client-facing communications. You'll work on audits, retro-commissioning, and strategic recommendations that impact building performance and client ESG goals. This position offers growth within a fast-growing ESG practice and opportunities to lead and mentor others. You will travel to client sites as needed and present impactful findings to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development of energy saving and emissions reduction strategies for existing buildings
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates for recommended measures
  • Perform ASHRAE Level I & II Energy Audits and support retro-commissioning
  • Provide consultation on climate control, energy modeling, data logging, and sustainable design
  • Understand and apply energy efficiency and sustainability ordinances across multiple cities and states
  • Review ARCH and MEP drawings and help secure utility incentives
  • Produce technical and non-technical reports for program compliance and client ownership reviews
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage project deliverables for quality, timeliness, and budget
  • Support business development to grow Cushman & Wakefield's ESG practice
  • Contribute to shaping the ESG practice with leadership and mentorship opportunities
Key requirements
  • Experience in decarbonization strategies for commercial real estate
  • Strong data management and Excel-based calculations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to lead meetings
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 5-8 years of related experience
