Overview

In this role you will lead the maintenance program for a plastics manufacturing facility, driving reliability and uptime. You will manage a team of technicians, coordinate with production, and implement preventive maintenance strategies. You'll analyze equipment performance, guide repairs, and ensure safety and cost-effective operations. This position offers the chance to shape maintenance culture and support scalable production within a sustainability-focused company.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment in the plastics facility
  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and training
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and areas for improvement
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with production to prioritize maintenance and minimize process disruptions
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability
  • Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs or installations
  • Manage maintenance budget and procurement of spare parts
  • Ensure safety compliance and promote a safety culture across the facility
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory management
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of maintenance management experience, preferably in plastics manufacturing or similar industrial environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of plastics manufacturing machinery (extruders, injection molding machines, conveyors)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance principles
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in industrial settings
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proficient in using CMMS and related software
