Overview As an Inventory/AP Analyst in Dallas, you ensure accurate inventory records and supplier payments in a fast-paced distribution environment. You work closely with purchasing, warehouse, receiving, and operations to align transactions and resolve mismatches. You perform invoice processing, reconciliations, and period-end activities to support reliable stock data and timely payables. You contribute to cycle counts and physical inventory events, including occasional weekend participation. You drive improvements that strengthen accuracy and efficiency across inventory and AP workflows.
Responsibilities- Process inventory and freight invoices, credit adjustments, and related vendor paperwork with high accuracy
- Compare invoices to purchase orders and receiving records to verify pricing and quantities
- Investigate mismatches among invoices, receipts, and inventory activity and coordinate resolution with internal teams and suppliers
- Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, receiving, and operations to maintain accurate inventory transactions
- Perform inventory reconciliations and analyze variances to support dependable stock records
- Support cycle counts and periodic physical inventory events, including occasional weekend participation
- Maintain organized vendor and inventory files and keep transaction data current
- Assist with month-end close tasks, reporting, and account reconciliations related to inventory and payables
- Suggest practical process improvements to strengthen inventory and AP accuracy, consistency, and efficiency
