Overview In this role you provide project field engineering expertise to plan, package, and control field work. You'll manage material flow, quantity verification, and safety/quality control to ensure execution meets project standards. You'll coordinate with subcontractors and inspections, while leveraging Bechtel processes to deliver on complex LNG and energy projects. Mobility across sites may be required to support growing project needs. This is a hands-on role in a safety driven, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Prepares construction drawings and sketches and supports planning of construction methods
- Manages field material requisitions and quantity takeoffs
- Verifies quantities in tracking systems and databases
- Enforces safety and quality control requirements in the field
- Pursues ongoing learning and professional development
- Serves as System Turnover Coordinator with scoping and drawing requirements
- Reviews and approves inspection test plans and coordinates subcontractor submittals
- Aligns with Bechtel work processes and project standards (BSAPs, Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, Navisworks)
Key requirements- Bachelor degree or international equivalent; 5-8 years or 9-12 years of relevant experience
- Field construction experience in heavy industry; oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating stations
- Ability to motivate and lead teams in a collaborative environment; strong problem-solving under pressure
- Experience with LNG construction site and related safety standards
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards; working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
- Experience managing technical services subcontracts; familiar with Bechtel processes and BSAPs (Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks)
