Overview As a Product Engineer at Hubbell, you will support the transmission hardware product line, driving development, maintenance, and production readiness. You will work across Marketing, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Sales to translate customer needs into robust product solutions. You'll lead bid package creation for high voltage projects, perform design and analysis, and coordinate testing and cost estimation. This role offers impact by shaping product offerings that enable reliable and efficient energy infrastructure. You will partner with cross functional teams to deliver value in a growing utility solutions business.
Responsibilities- Lead bid package development for high voltage transmission projects
- Execute assembly design, product line extension, drawing creation, specification reviews, simulations, testing, and cost estimation for quotes
- Drive product line maintenance for transmission assemblies (cost reductions, drawings, ECNs) and coordinate with operations, manufacturing engineering, sourcing, NPD, and quality
- Conduct mechanical and electrical design/analysis with 80% Mechanical and 20% Electrical focus
- Maintain and create AutoCAD and Inventor 2D/3D files for Marketing and Manufacturing
- Provide technical support on product performance, applications, and maintenance to Marketing, Customer Service, Field Sales, and Customers
- Assist in product training activities and participate in off-site testing and customer meetings
Key requirements- 5+ years of experience in design, product, or manufacturing engineering
- Experience in the utility industry
- AutoDesk Inventor 2D/3D knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiencies
