Overview In this role you oversee supplier performance and ensure quality across the product lifecycle using APQP. You partner with R&D and suppliers to drive Design for Excellence and CtQ-based quality output. You lead supplier evaluations, audits, and SCAR processes while guiding a team in APQP execution and continuous improvement. The position supports breakthrough products in a healthcare technology context and emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, risk mitigation, and supplier development.

Responsibilities- Oversee supplier quality performance using APQP during NPI and sustaining changes
- Lead technical capability assessments and supplier selection
- Manage APQP plans, PSW, line releases, and production readiness
- Foster collaboration between R&D and suppliers via DfX initiatives
- Communicate CtQ characteristics to suppliers and ensure integration
- Negotiate Supplier Quality Agreements, analyze defects, and review SCARs
- Lead supplier improvement within APQP, monitor performance, and conduct supplier audits
- Manage team talent, including selection, performance, compensation, and development
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Quality/Supplier Quality or related area
- Management experience in supplier quality, APQP/PPAP, Process Validation
- Knowledge of medical device regulations and supplier evaluation methodologies
- Data analysis skills and experience with DFX and CAPA
