Overview In this role you drive healthcare design excellence as a principal leader within Stantec's Health Sector. You will guide major healthcare projects, nurture client relationships, and collaborate across North America to deliver interdisciplinary, fiscally responsible engagements. Responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of major healthcare projects (80,000-800,000 sqft typical size)
- Interface with architectural and engineering leaders across North America within an integrated design practice
- Inspire local teams, represent healthcare design, and reinforce Stantec's brand
- Sustain and grow regional revenue and attract top-tier healthcare clients
- Collaborate with project leads to meet financial and health-outcome metrics
- Lead local and regional business development, including pre-positioning and proposals
- Act as a seller-doer, generating work and delivering long-term client value
- Develop industry relationships and visibility with clients, sub-consultants, and recruits
- Contribute to thought leadership and brand through knowledge sharing at events and networks
- Mentor next generation of designers and thought leaders
Key requirements- Recent experience in healthcare design
- Ability to lead cross-functional project teams across various healthcare project types
- Technical understanding of architecture for health facilities (programming, site selection, core/shell, fit-out)
- Experience with IPD, APD, modular approaches
- Strong business development and client relationship skills
- Entrepreneurial orientation with understanding of consulting services
- Excellent oral and written communication; strong organization and leadership skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Bachelor's or Master's in architecture; HCAI/OSHPD experience; California licensure; LEED AP preferred
