Overview In this role you will lead vehicle-level architecture and integration across complete vehicle programs, translating diverse requirements into a cohesive solution. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and production readiness. The role offers exposure to styling convergence, packaging, and program governance on a global scale. You will help shape high-quality vehicle architectures and liaise with suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering teams to drive successful launches.
Responsibilities- Lead development and maintenance of vehicle architecture, packaging, interfaces, and integration requirements
- Translate product, customer, styling, regulatory, and manufacturing needs into balanced vehicle-level solutions
- Manage cross-system compatibility, identify risks, and resolve interface gaps early
- Guide packaging and integration of mechanical systems, enclosures, sensors, and thermal hardware
- Balance functional, manufacturability, and serviceability requirements through trade-off analysis
- Coordinate styling and engineering convergence for exterior/intrior content and data maturity
- Define visualization, data review scopes, and release/control models
- Lead assembly concepts, interface documentation, and engineering data packages
- Ensure CAD and PLM data reflect approved design intent and program configuration
- Support design changes through maturity reviews and configuration control
- Collaborate to ensure systems are production-ready and fully integrated at vehicle level
- Support vehicle/program planning, budgeting, status reporting, and milestone reviews
- Ensure DFMEA, DVP&R, tolerance analysis, validation planning, and technical reviews are addressed
- Provide vehicle-level support during Alpha/Beta/Pilot/Production builds and escalate issues
- Lead root-cause analysis, containment, deviation management, and corrective action
- Capture field learnings and implement improvements to future architectures
- Lead architecture forums with customers, PM, styling, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers
- Communicate status, risks, and decisions to technical and business stakeholders
- Escalate unresolved risks early with fact-based recovery actions
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement across global teams
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field; master's degree preferred
- 5+ years in vehicle architecture, integration, packaging, styling convergence, or complete vehicle development
- Experience leading cross-functional development from concept to production release
- Experience with complete vehicle programs, prototype/production builds, validation, suppliers, and release processes
- Proficiency with CATIA V5, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE, NX, or equivalent 3D CAD; ENOVIA or similar PLM
- Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFM/DFA, BOM/change management, DFMEA, DVP&R, root-cause analysis, and automotive launch processes
