Overview

In this role you will cultivate and expand banking relationships with businesses in the Houston area, driving loan, deposit, and cross-sell opportunities. You will partner with internal teams to manage portfolios, assess creditworthiness, and support community engagement. By building strong client networks, you help the bank grow profitability while maintaining service excellence. This position offers a chance to shape client solutions and contribute to the bank's community-focused mission.

Responsibilities
  • Target and manage extensive contact with individuals, businesses, and centers of influence in metro Houston
  • Aggressively pursue loans, deposits, and other banking relationships; manage cross-sell opportunities
  • Evaluate creditworthiness and coordinate with underwriting for loan packages
  • Achieve portfolio growth, fund loan, deposit, and fee goals; maintain customer satisfaction
  • Represent the bank at business and community events; participate in CRA and related committees
  • Maintain updated pipeline, call, and prospect databases; collaborate with internal teams to meet production goals
  • Develop and execute business development and strategic plans; support marketing and public relations efforts
  • Protect customer information; adhere to laws, regulations, and bank policies
Key requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive business development, marketing, and sales experience in a banking environment
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, marketing, communications, management, or a related field
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses are a plus
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations; credit and underwriting experience a plus
  • Excellent business development, sales, relationship management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office; proficient in customer relationship systems
