Overview As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will lead communications for a major infrastructure program within AECOM's Strategic Communications Team. You will partner with clients and a technical team to shape public information, community outreach, and integrated messaging across channels. The role blends strategy, content creation, and events to support a high-impact program with onsite collaboration. This is a hands-on, client-facing position that offers meaningful opportunities to influence public perception and project success.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement communications strategies and plans
- Interface with clients and project partners to manage accounts
- Create and deliver messaging across channels
- Produce web and social media content
- Design slide decks for presentations
- Plan events and meetings
- Occasional evening/weekend support for public meetings and events
- Respond to public inquiries and media requests
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field + 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to pass AECOM Motor Vehicle Records review
- Experience as a public information officer (PIO) or community relations specialist on a project (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships
