Overview In this Maintenance Engineer role you support the Lead Maintenance Engineer to ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people goals are met. You will carry out planned and preventive maintenance and lead reliability improvements on state-of-the-art equipment. You'll diagnose faults, implement permanent fixes, and uphold safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities- Execute planned, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance per schedules and safety requirements
- Support reliability improvement initiatives, including RCM & FMEA
- Diagnose faults, identify root causes, implement permanent corrective actions
- Maintain equipment in line with company standards and regulatory procedures
- Manage spares availability and propose stock levels
- Uphold safe systems of work (Permit-to-Work, LOTO, working-at-height) and participate in safety audits
- Champion 6S and support continuous improvement across ITM
Key requirements- Recognised engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- Time-served maintenance engineer with automation, pneumatics, rotating/static equipment, instrumentation, or multidiscipline plant assets
- Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs, schematics)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems
- Commitment to safety and risk management
- Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies
- Forklift licence (B1/B2)
- Full UK driving licence
