Overview

In this Tax Senior Manager role, you guide partnership tax strategies for private equity-backed clients, delivering planning, research, and compliance with cross-functional support. You will lead complex engagements, develop staff, and expand services while maintaining high-quality tax guidance. The position emphasizes client relationships, staying current with tax law, and coordinating across lines of business to deliver integrated service. You'll operate in a high-growth Private Equity Portfolio Company practice, shaping tax solutions at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Advise on partnership tax services including planning, research, and compliance
  • Assist with new business development and issue recognition
  • Develop and mentor staff
  • Lead complex engagements and expand services with strong client relationships
  • Stay updated on tax practices and law changes
  • Review research findings for policy-consistent conclusions
  • Foster cross-line relationships to ensure integrated client service
  • Potential people leadership responsibilities
  • Provide detailed review/analysis of complex tax returns
  • Communicate complex tax issues non-technically to clients and teams
  • Serve as Tax client service coordinator for appropriate clients
  • Manage corporate tax needs including federal/state compliance
Key requirements
  • Active CPA license in state of residence/primary office, or active EA license, or active Attorney license
  • 8 years in corporate federal tax compliance and tax consultation related to planning, research, and M&A
  • Experience in public accounting with 8 years focusing on partnership taxation
  • Experience with S-Corps or Partnerships/LLCs
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
