Overview

As a Senior AI Product Manager Builder at WEX, you will shape end-to-end AI-enabled workflows across Mobility, Payments, and Benefits. You'll work closely with a Tech Builder and domain experts to turn manual processes into governed, agent-assisted experiences. You'll prototype, evaluate, and monitor production systems, owning the problem, user outcomes, and business value while guiding agent behavior and evaluation strategies. This role combines hands-on build with strategic governance to deliver measurable ROI at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Own problem definition, user outcomes, and business value for AI-enabled workflows
  • Prototype and test agent behavior, prompts, tool flows, and multi-agent/human-in-the-loop scenarios
  • Collaborate with Tech Builder on production architecture, configurations, and debugging
  • Define evaluation criteria, golden datasets, edge cases, and scoring rubrics to drive decisions
  • Translate learnings into versioned artifacts (PRDs, acceptance criteria, eval harnesses) with clear traceability
  • Map current-state workflows with operators and domain experts, identify frictions, and define future-state experiences
  • Monitor production metrics and ensure governance, risk, compliance, and safety controls
  • Package reusable patterns and playbooks to speed future deployments
  • Navigate legacy enterprise environments to ship working software in real environments
  • Balance accuracy, latency, cost, security, and UX to determine AI vs deterministic solutions
Key requirements
  • 7+ years of Product Management shipping software, data, platform, automation, or AI products to production at scale
  • Direct experience with generative AI, LLMs, retrieval/grounding (RAG), tool calling, context management, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop workflows
  • Proven experience building or running AI evaluations with golden datasets, quality rubrics, and failure analysis
  • Prototyping ability with AI-assisted dev tools, low-code frameworks, APIs, and version-controlled configuration files (Markdown, JSON, YAML)
  • Systems thinking and tradeoff evaluation skills balancing accuracy, latency, token/system cost, security, and UX
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills to align engineers, Risk, Legal, Ops, and executives
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
